The start to former Notre Dame running back Audric Estime's NFL career was almost certainly not what he hoped it would be. However, on Sunday, he made a statement that might allow him to officially get a second crack at a long and productive run in the pros.
Estime began his career after getting drafted by the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately, after one injury-hampered season, he was eventually released by the eventual AFC West champion. The good news is that the New Orleans Saints ultimately picked him up and, after getting his bearings, is starting to show the same sort of mix of tough running and surprising burst that made him so successful in South Bend.
