2018 NCAA Women’s Basketball: Notre Dame Wins National Championship, 61-58

Keep that No. 1 sign atop Grace Hall lit up — the Notre Dame Fighting Irish women have won their second national championship, defeating the Mississippi State Bulldogs on Easter Sunday, 61-58.

Perpetually a bridesmaid, but rarely a bride, Coach Muffet McGraw has won her first title since 2001. The Irish battled tremendous adversity this year, suffering more season ending ACL tears (4) than losses (3).

The Irish slayed perennial powerhouse UConn en route to the championship game, and overcame a 15-point deficit to the Bulldogs.

We will have much more on this game, including a lengthy recap.
