NBC Announces New Broadcast Crew For Notre Dame Football Games

NBC has announced their broadcast team for Notre Dame football games this season, with Mike Tirico serving as the play-by-play man with Doug Flutie as the analyst, according to FOX Sports' Bruce Feldman.

Tirico replaces Dan Hicks in the booth for NBA, who has called Notre Dame games since 2013.

“He is the latest in a line of distinguished broadcasters to call Notre Dame football on NBC, including Dick Enberg, Charlie Jones, Tom Hammond, Don Criqui and Dan Hicks,” NBC Sports executive VP Sam Flood said in a statement.

NBC is set to broadcast seven Notre Dame games this season.

Sept. 2 vs. Temple 3:30 p.m. ET
Sept. 9 vs. Georgia, 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 30 vs. Miami (Ohio), 5 p.m.*
Oct. 21 vs. USC, 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 28 N.C. State, 3:30 p.m.
Nov. 4 Wake Forest, 3:30 p.m.
Nov. 18 vs. Navy, 3:30 p.m.

Tirico did call three Notre Dame games last season against Nevada, Michigan State and Duke last season while Hicks was covering the FedEx Cup Playoffs. He was also the host of NBC's Football Night in America last season. It remains to be seen if he will continue in that role.
