The Notre Dame Fighting Irish have picked up a commitment from one of the top QBs in the class of 2017. Four-star Avery Davis announced Saturday that he'll play for Notre Dame.

Davis is the No. 213 overall recruit in the class of 2017. He's from Texas and is the No. 30 player from the state. The No. 7 dual threat QB, Davis can throw and run. He should be a great fit in Brian Kelly's offense.
With Notre Dame already three-deep at QB this year, Davis might need to wait a bit to see the field. At the very least, he'll provide quality depth early.
