In spirit of City’s 4-2 victory over Preston North End last weekend, its only right to take a look back on one of our other memorable third-round wins in the FA Cup.
The match in question came back in January of the 2011-12 season, as City were drawn up against Burnley at Carrow Road for their third-round cup tie.
Early headers from Grant Holt and Simeon Jackson gave City the advantage, with both goals finding the back of the net by the 12th minute, before Jay Rodriguez headed in one of his own for Burnley to lessen the gap by the 15-minute mark.
