Loan Round-Up: Morris lifts Rotherham to play-off places

Three Norwich City loanees scored for their clubs over the past week, with Carlton Morris’ winner for Rotherham United perhaps the most crucial.

Having played just over 20 minutes of Tuesday’s Leasing.com Trophy defeat to Lincoln City, Morris featured for the first 88 minutes of Rotherham’s League One fixture at home to Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

He scored the only goal in United’s 1-0 win, heading in Ben Wiles’ free-kick on the half-hour mark to lift Rotherham into the play-off spots. They’re now placed sixth and are six points behind leaders Ipswich Town.

Fellow League One loanee Louis Thompson also got on the scoresheet last week, albeit in the Leasing.
