Norwich City will be hosting a Mental Health Awareness Night on Thursday, November 21, in the Norfolk Lounge at Carrow Road.
Professional football is a dream career for most people, with the perceptions creating an illusion that life in the industry is perfect. Behind the hard work, talent and ambition, mental health issues can arise, with young men putting on a mask in a culture where discussing feelings still isn't the norm.
Just like supporters, struggles with mental health in the industry are all too real. One in four people will experience a mental health problem in any year and over 10% of the population have depression at any one time.
