Burnley will try to force through a deal for Norwich winger Robbie Brady before the deadline after missing out on Robert Snodgrass when he joined West Ham from Hull City.
The Ireland international has 31 appearances for his country, seven goals and seems set to make the jump back up to the Premier League.
The Clarets also remain hopeful they can sign Andrew Robertson from Hull after lodging a £10m bid for the young left-back.
