Three-star safety Jeremiah McDonald has committed to Northwestern. He announced his decision on Twitter, Monday evening.
The Slidell, LA native’s 247 composite rating makes him the second-best player in Northwestern’s highly touted 13-player 2018 recruiting class. The Wildcats now rank as the No. 6 class nationally and the second best class in the Big Ten, per 247.
McDonald received his offer back in February, and he chose Northwestern over offers from Navy, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, and Virginia, among others. Notre Dame also expressed interest.
His highlight reel shows an athletic ball-hawking free safety with the physicality to challenge receivers and defend the run.
