Linebacker Khalid Jones II has committed to Northwestern, per his Twitter page.
Jones — who is from Duncan, South Carolina — was one of Northwestern’s top remaining targets in the 2018 class, and he committed to NU over Ole Miss, Tennessee, Wisconsin, among others. He is listed as a three-star recruit by 247Sports, Scout.com and Rivals, but a four-star recruit by ESPN. Regardless of the rankings, Jones is a big get for Pat Fitzgerald & Co.
Northwestern now has 16 recruits in its 2018 class, which already appears to be one of the best in recent memory.
