Chris Collins and Northwestern have agreed to a multi-year contract extension, according to a report from Teddy Greenstein of the Chicago Tribune.
According to Greenstein, the extension was agreed to after Collins' end-of-season meeting with athletic director Jim Phillips.
Collins did not tell Greenstein the length of the extension, but told him he would be in Evanston for the "foreseeable future."
Collins also would not disclose any financial terms, but said:
"It's not ‘coach Cal' money," he said in reference to Kentucky coach John Calipari's $7 million-plus annual salary. "But it's in the ballpark of what guys in our league are making.
