It was too little, too late as the ‘Cats cut a 22-point deficit to seven in the last quarter.

Despite a furious comeback attempt late in the fourth quarter, the Big Ten struggles continued as Northwestern (8-15, 1-11 B1G) lost 78-66 to Nebraska (14-9, 6-6 B1G) on Monday night at home.

Isabelle Bourne led the effort for the Huskers with 18 points and eight rebounds, shooting 5-of-11 from the field and 7-of-9 from the free throw line. Alexis Markowski put up a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds on 4-of-7 shooting before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.
