TAMPA — Northwestern will be without senior cornerback Nick VanHoose and senior offensive lineman Geoff Mogus for its Outback Bowl matchup with Tennessee, but safety Kyle Queiro will return to the lineup. There are otherwise no new injuries for the Wildcats.
VanHoose, as expected, is out with 'Jersey Finger,' an injury he suffered in practice in mid-December. VanHoose was an ever-present in Northwestern's starting lineup this year, and, along with junior cornerback Matt Harris, was a big reason for the success of NU's defense.
Queiro, however, who missed most of the season after breaking his forearm against Ball State, has made a full recovery.
