Northwestern shooting guard Scottie Lindsey will “be available” against Rutgers on February 18, a source told the Chicago Tribune. The news was first reported by Paul Skrbina.
The 6-foot-6, 210-pound Lindsey missed four games with an illness. The Wildcats lost three of those four games (Purdue, Illinois and Maryland) but also managed a win at then-No. 7 Wisconsin without their junior from Fenwick, Illinois.
Lindsey leads the team at 15.4 points per game, nearly two more than the second-leading scorer, Vic Law. Lindsey is also averaging 4.3 rebounds per game. One of the most improved players in the country, Lindsey has improved drastically from his first two years in Evanston on both ends of the court; his development on the defensive end, though, has been hugely important and has been a major part of why the team as a whole has been much better on that end.
