After more than a week off, Northwestern and Nia Coffey were played 40 minutes of sluggish basketball in Ann Arbor.
Northwestern (15-5, 4-3 B1G), came into Wednesday’s matchup with Michigan (17-5, 6-2 B1G) on a two-game winning streak and some buzz in the polls. However, the Wildcats proved no match for the Wolverines. Michigan tore through Northwestern’s defense and romped to a 38-point win.
Northwestern went down 10-2 five minutes into the first quarter and never recovered. The offense sputtered due to a 6-20 night from the field for Nia Coffey and Christen Inman out again due to injury.
