Northwestern basketball will not accept a bid to either the CBI or Vegas 16, instead opting to end its 2015-16 season after missing out on an NIT bid.
Northwestern was not selected to participate in the NIT and has elected not to take part in any other postseason tournament.

The Wildcats finished the season 20-12 with an overtime loss to Michigan in its first game of the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan was selected for the NCAA Tournament.
The reasoning for declining the opportunity to participate is different for each tournament.
