Northwestern non-revenue sports update: Women’s soccer to NCAA Tournament

With Northwestern football’s exciting October run, it’s been a while since we checked in on the non-revenue sports. Time to fix that. Here’s what’s going on:

Women’s Soccer (14-2-4)

Northwestern women’s soccer lost in the second round of the Big Ten Tournament with a 1-0 loss to Rutgers. The team had struggled to score goals against Rutgers in its previous meeting, and that trend appeared again in the tournament. Northwestern women’s soccer failed to record any goals during the Big Ten Tournament, but its stout defense will prove a challenge in the NCAA Tournament.

Northwestern soccer will host Kent State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on November 12.
