It wasn’t as easy as the final score may indicate, though.
Northwestern (1-0) took care of business Thursday against New Orleans (1-1), earning an 82-52 win in a game that was competitive for a while.
Ryan Taylor and Vic Law led the way for Northwestern offensively, scoring 20 and 18 points, respectively. Taylor showed the shooting prowess that drew an impressive offer sheet this past offseason on the grad-transfer market, going 6-of-11 from beyond-the-arc.
The Wildcats came out of the gates at a blistering pace.
