Chris Collins and his squad have a tough road ahead of them in a rebuilding year. With Friday morning’s schedule release, though, it looks like their Big Ten slate won’t be as challenging as it could otherwise be for the Wildcats.
Northwestern draws Purdue, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Michigan State, and Nebraska twice across their 20 games of conference play. Though they will be challenged significantly by having to face Purdue and Michigan State during December in the seemingly-annual early pair of conference games, the Wildcats have also been granted some enticing home matchups.
In addition to the six teams mentioned above, NU will host Michigan in a rematch of last year’s classic, along with Iowa, Ohio State, and Penn State.
