Northwestern is right back into the thick of things as far as the bowl picture is concerned. After two big conference road wins, the Wildcats sit at 3-3 halfway through their season and have a bevy of winnable games down the stretch run.
A record of 6-6 would certainly put the Wildcats into postseason play, and 5-7 might also do the trick depending on if there aren’t enough 6-6 teams to go. The bowl selection committee then turns to APR score. APR stands for Academic Progress Rate, and it’s not as if there are a lot of teams that are going to place higher than Northwestern.
