After relative consistency for two weeks, Northwestern has introduced major shakeups to its depth chart, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
Matthew Harris is out after suffering a gruesome head injury on kick coverage against Illinois State. That unit now features sophomore Montre Hartage and redshirt freshman Trae Williams as starters after Alonzo Mayo also left the game with injury. Behind them are two true freshmen: Roderick Campbell and Brian Bullock. Injuries have wreaked havoc on the group: Harris and Mayo will at least miss this game, and Keith Watkins II was lost for the season in training camp.
