At 1-3 after the loss to Nebraska, Northwestern’s bowl hopes were on life support. The Wildcats were staring a brutal month of October in the face and could have easily gone into November without a Big Ten win.
Then, come last Saturday, Northwestern took down Iowa in Kinnick Stadium. Suddenly, the atmosphere around the team suddenly feels a bit more positive. Now, heading into the bye week, the Wildcats’ road to six (or just five) wins seems a lot more reasonable now than it did a couple of days ago.
