A trio of 2-run home runs from Michigan's Matt Ramsay powered the Wolverines to an easy win.
Friday was a rough day for Northwestern baseball as, after losing Game 1 of an impromptu doubleheader with Michigan 10-4, the Wildcats got thoroughly beaten in Game 2 by the Wolverines, 12-3.
Dan Kubiuk got the start for the Wildcats (7-20 overall, 1-4 Big Ten) -- his second collegiate start -- but spotted the Wolverines (19-5, 2-0) a 2-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning when Matt Ramsay smoked a pitch over the left-center fence at the new Rocky and Berenice Miller Park for a two-run shot.
