Michigan football continues to roll towards a surprising season, improving to 5-1 on the season after picking apart the #13 Northwestern Wildcats 38-0. For the third straight game, the Wolverines shut out an opponent, and for the second time, that was against a ranked opponent. Michigan, currently sitting at #18, controlled the entire game, rarely allowing Northwestern to get the ball rolling, but it wasn’t without problems on Michigan’s side of the ball.
The scoring started early, on the first play of the game, when wide receiver/kick returner Jehu Chesson took the opening kick-off back 95 yards for a touchdown to get the Wolverines on the board early.
