Northwestern football is finally back. The Wildcats face the Stanford Cardinal, the number 21 team in the nation in the 2015-2016 season opener. It's been a long offseason for the team, whose season ended November 29th in a disappointing loss to 47-33 to Illinois. The offseason has featured a quarterback battle ultimately won by Clayton Thorson, the rehab and return of Christian Jones and several other storylines. Saturday, all the storylines will finally have closed, and the season will have begun.
