Northwestern women’s lacrosse ((13-5, 5-1 B1G) begins its postseason quest Friday afternoon in Towson, Maryland, where it will face Atlantic 10 champion Richmond (16-3, 8-1 Atlantic 10) at 5:00 p.m. CST.
This is the first meeting between the two teams since 2002, and it comes in a round Northwestern head coach Kelly Amonte Hiller has dominated during her time at NU. Hiller is a perfect 14-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, so it would certainly be surprising should the Wildcats fall to the Spiders.
Northwestern enters the game having dropped two straight games, dropping games against Maryland in the regular season finale and against Penn State in the Big Ten Tournament.
