Henry Cejudo retained his UFC bantamweight championship belt with a second-round TKO against Dominick Cruz, then promptly announced his retirement Saturday night at UFC 249 in Jacksonville, Florida.
The stoppage came at 4:50 of the second round.
This was Cruz's first fight in 1,226 days, the second-longest layoff before a title fight for a challenger in UFC history, behind only Georges St-Pierre (1,449 days).
