Women’s Golf
This weekend, the inaugural Augusta National Women’s Amateur will be played a week before the most prestigious tournament in the sport is held on the same course. Northwestern senior Stephanie Lau will be competing against the best amateurs in the world in the new tournament.
Lau is heading into the tournament fresh off of a T-1 finish in the PING/ASU Invitational this past weekend. The Fullerton, California native shot 7-under to equal the scores of Bethany Wu of UCLA and Andrea Lee of Stanford, claiming her first collegiate victory. As a team, Northwestern tied for third, falling five strokes short of a winning USC.
