Just days before the teams meet for only the second time in 23 years, Northwestern has landed a recruit that had an offer from Notre Dame. Genson Hooper-Price becomes the second-highest rated player, behind fellow receiver Bryce Kirtz, in Northwestern’s now-16 man class of 2019 after committing via Twitter early Tuesday afternoon.
Hooper-Price, a high three star who currently holds a .8793 composite rating, had offers from Arizona, Arizona State, and Baylor in addition to the Wildcats and Fighting Irish. He took his official visit to Evanston in June before heading up to South Bend last month.
The Houson, Texas native is listed at 6-foot-4, 196 pounds, which would leave him tied as the tallest Northwestern receiver since the graduation of Kyle Prater.
