Class of 2018 defensive end Devin O’Rourke out of Frankfort, Illinois (Lincoln-Way East) has committed to Northwestern. He is the top-rated player in the state of Illinois and is Northwestern’s seventh-highest rated recruit since 247 Sports started its rankings.
O’Rourke stands 6-foot-6 and weighs in at 240 pounds. He is rated as the 199th-best player in his class and ninth-best defensive end for 2018. The website gives him a composite rating of .9210.
O’Rourke committed over a plethora of impressive offers, including those from Big Ten potential suitors Illinois, Indiana, Iowa Minnesota, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue and Wisconsin.
