With the lack of real brackets this March and April, we here at Inside NU thought it a good idea to generate a list of the 64 greatest athletes in Northwestern history and put them in a bracket for the purpose of seeing which fine Wildcat would prevail.
Most of these athletes had hall-of-fame-worthy careers in Evanston, and many went on to do great things both on and off the playing fields after graduating.
Seeding for this bracket was not straightforward, especially as we tried to find a way to equalize athletes of different sports and eras.
