Despite a so-so weekend as a whole for the Big Ten conference, there were some players, coaches and teams who delivered solid, standout performances. Our writers have submitted their votes for who the offensive and defensive players of the week and coach of the week were for the Big Ten in Week 1.
Here’s what they came up with:
OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Braxton Miller, WR/HB. Ohio State — This was unanimous. Miller far exceed any of our expectations from his new position. He had six carries for 62 yard and a touchdown and hauled in two passes for 78 yards and a score.
