Around the Big Ten, Week 2: Minnesota falls, Saquon Barkley is superhuman, the Rutger is back

We’ve chronicled Northwestern’s painful 33-24 loss to Wisconsin, but there were five other Big Ten games this weekend. We’re here to recap what happened if you shut off the television post-Thorson’s safety.

Nebraska 28, Illinois 6

The Illinois we know and love is back! Despite the fact that Nebraska fired its AD, Tanner Lee has been abysmal, and Mike Riley is coaching for his job, the Huskers still took an easy 22-point victory in Champaign. There’s nothing like playing Illinois/Rutgers to buoy the fortunes of your program. Nebraska outgained Illinois 411 to 199, and was up 21-3 at halftime.
