AP Poll, Week 14: Northwestern drops out, still receives votes

The stay in the Top 25 was neither long nor fun.

A week after coming in at No. 25, the Northwestern Wildcats (18-5, 7-3) have dropped out of the rankings and received 11 votes this week, good for 29th in the nation. It comes on the heels of a week in which Northwestern played just once, a 21-point pounding at the hands of Purdue in West Lafayette. The Wildcats were without leading scorer Scottie Lindsey and reserve wing Nathan Taphorn against the Boilermakers.

In terms of the Big Ten, Northwestern remains behind No. 7 Wisconsin, which jumped up three spots, No.
