Northwestern picked up its third 2019 football commitment in three weeks when Texas safety Corien Azema announced his commitment to the Wildcats Tuesday night via Twitter.
The three-star prospect is ranked as the No. 62 safety in the country by 247Sports.com. He committed to the Wildcats over a host of Power Five schools, including Duke, Arkansas, Nebraska, Michigan State, and Stanford, who offered Azema on May 12. Azema is the third 2019 commit from the greater Houston area, following tight end Thomas Gordon and defensive lineman Jason Gold Jr., who committed to Northwestern on May 19.
