2019 quarterback Cale Millen decommits from Northwestern

Northwestern got some bad news Wednesday when 2019 quarterback Cale Millen reopened his recruitment. The three-star pro-style quarterback had initially committed to the Wildcats in December.

Millen, who hails from Snoqualmie, Wash., picked up a handful of Pac-12 offers in the past couple months, including Arizona State, UCLA, and Oregon. Millen’s father, Hugh, played college ball at Washington and was a quarterback in the NFL for nine seasons.

Northwestern will need to pursue its other 2019 quarterback targets hard now. It has offered Texas QB Grant Gunnell, who has offers from nearly three dozen Power Five schools, including Ohio State, Alabama, and Oklahoma State.
