EVANSTON, Ill. (AP) Northwestern says the NCAA has granted a sixth year of eligibility to two offensive linemen.
The 24th-ranked Wildcats said Tuesday that seniors Shane Mertz and C.J. Robbins will be eligible to play during the 2016-2017 academic year.
Mertz has had six starts this season and played in 22 games for the Wildcats. Robbins has had eight starts and played in 30 games.
