One of Northern Iowa's bright young wrestling talents has decided to leave the program.
Michael Blockhus, a redshirt sophomore, announced Monday morning that he has entered the transfer portal. He cited "personal reasons" as why he will be leaving Cedar Falls.
"I want to first off thank the UNI wrestling family for everything they've done for me and I am thankful for their support with my time at UNI," Blockhus wrote in an announcement he posted to Twitter.
"My family and I have been blessed with so many opportunities throughout my wrestling career and I am thankful for every single one of them.
