The Grand View wrestling team is going for its 10th-straight NAIA national title this weekend, which is all kinds of absurd.
The Vikings aren't so much a dynasty as much as they are the dictators of NAIA wrestling. They've won nine national titles in a row and, after this season, 103 consecutive duals. There are third-graders in Des Moines who have never seen them lose a dual, and fourth-graders who have only ever seen them win national titles.
Someone made a joke the other day about how the NAIA doesn't really exist, and that Grand View just hires actors to beat up on every year to win national titles.
