The UNI women's golf team will begin their fall season at the Redbird Golf Invitational held in Normal, Illinois, this weekend. The host team, Illinois State University, will hold their annual tournament for the 57th year at Weibring Golf Club, a par 72 course playing at 6,022 yards.
Returning for the Panthers this season are senior Hannah Bermel and sophomore Allison Nuss. Bermel, an all-conference player and MVC First-Team Scholar Athlete, led the team with a 77.4 stroke average last season. Bermel won the Indiana State Spring Invite by 5 strokes, finishing as the only player under par with rounds of 71 and 72.
