CEDAR FALLS — AJ Green dropped it in ever so slightly amid the celebratory chatter, as if to get a head start on handling the situation Northern Iowa faces once again.
The timing of his unprompted answer carried as much weight as the words themselves.
“It’s a great feeling to get another one of these,” Green said Saturday night, less than an hour after the Panthers clinched their second Missouri Valley Conference regular-season title in three seasons.
“But we want that one down in St. Louis.”
