ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Senior guard Madison Weekly has been named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, it was announced today by league officials.
Weekly turned in three dominating performances the past week in UNI's game against Oklahoma State and Grand Canyon Thanksgiving Tournament wins over Idaho and Denver. The Atkins, Iowa, native averaged 19.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.7 assists with UNI going 2-1 on the road over that span.
She scored 20 points against Big 12 powerhouse Oklahoma State on Nov. 23, shooting a staggering 72-percent from the field. She shot 66-percent from the arc against the Cowgirls, also adding five rebounds and two steals.
