ST. LOUIS - Senior Madison Weekly has been named Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, it was announced today by the league office. This is Weekly's second player of the week nod this season, earning the honor after standout performances for the Panthers over the Thanksgiving holiday week.
Weekly's second MVC Player of the Week honor comes on the heels of an outstanding performance from the senior against #24 Kansas State. The Atkins, Iowa, native led the Panthers past the Wildcats, 67-59 with a game-high 20 points. The Wildcats tried again with 4:39 left on the clock, but yet again, Weekly answered with a deep three to make it 52-48.
