ST. LOUIS, Mo. – University of Northern Iowa women's basketball head coach Tanya Warren has been named the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year, it was announced today.
This is Warren's third-career MVC Coach of the Year recognition after also winning the award in 2011 and 2014. UNI is 20-9 and 15-3 in league play. The Panthers claimed the regular season MVC title for the second time in Warren's career.
"This is a staff team award," Warren said. "I am extremely honored and blessed to be surrounded by amazing people. This award can't be won by an individual.
