After one of the most dominant seasons in Northern Iowa football history, Karter Schult continues to rack up the accolades and achievements.
Another was added Thursday, when the Panthers defensive end was named a 2016 Associated Press FCS All-American. The honor comes after Schult was selected as the Missouri Valley Conference defensive player of the year, accepted an East-West Shine Game invite and was also recognized as an academic all-American.
Schult dominated from start to finish. He currently leads all Division I levels — FBS and FCS — in sacks (17) and accounted for at least one quarterback takedown in 10 of UNI’s 11 games this year.
