OKLAHOMA CITY — If you don’t know about Northern Iowa’s Ben Jacobson, it’s not his fault.
“All you’ve got to do is watch his teams play,” said P.J. Carlesimo, a former NBA and college coach, now working as a radio analyst for Westwood One Sports. “(Jacobson) is not a good coach.
“He’s a great coach.”
Jacobson has the 11th-seeded Panthers back in the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in eight years.
Regardless of what happens at 8:50 p.m. Friday against No. 6 Texas inside Chesapeake Energy Arena, Jacobson’s status among his peers will remain solid.
