The walls inside Northern Iowa’s football offices are decorated with reminders of the program’s penchant for sending players to the NFL.
“You’ve got to pass some of the greats up there,” defensive back Deiondre’ Hall said. “It’s kind of like motivation for where you want to be.”
Hall is expected to be the next Panther selected when the NFL holds its annual draft April 28-30.
Like many of those who came before him, Hall arrived in Cedar Falls without much fanfare, then blossomed into a big-time prospect.
“It was always a dream,” Hall said, “a goal of mine.
