CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – Former UNI wrestling coach Chuck Patten will be honored with the Lifetime Service Award at the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Convention next month.
Steve Knipp and Wyatt Schultz, who also have Panther ties, will be recognized with Patten when the National Wrestling Hall Of Fame Iowa Chapter honors the individuals at the Iowa Wrestling Coaches and Officials Convention Oct. 27 at a noon luncheon at the Airport Holiday Inn in Des Moines, Iowa.
Patten took the helm of the Panther team in 1965, guiding UNI to 17 consecutive winning seasons and a pair of Division II titles in 1975 and 1978.
