The Panthers host North Dakota State in the season opener for the 2019-20 season. The Panthers are coming off a 20-13 season and the ninth post-season appearance in 10 seasons. North Dakota State welcome new coach and UNI alum Jory Collins in his first game at the helm. The Bison were 7-22 in 2018-19.
• The Panthers have played NDSU six times in history and lead the series 5-1. UNI last played the Bison in 2014 and the Panthers defeated NDSU 56-41.
• UNI defeated Upper Iowa 67-40 in a home exhibition game. Three Panthers scored in double figures with graduate transfer Kristina Cavey earning a double-double.
