UNI faces former MVC opponent Wichita State Saturday on the road in Kansas. UNI is 1-0 for the season after a dominant win over North Dakota State. It is the season opener for the Shockers. WSU played an exhibition game against Missouri Southern State and won 80-33.
• Saturday's game is the 75th meeting for UNI and Wichita State in a series dating back to 1984. The Panthers lead the series 39-35 and have won the last four meetings. It is the first meeting since the Shockers left the league after the 2016-17 season.
• In the season opener, five Panthers scored in double-figures, led by Karli Rucker's 22 points and UNI rolled North Dakota State 95-63.
